Story Line: Action Star Tyrone Wade is RICHARD BLAZE an extraordinary Los Angeles cop. Blaze , along with his partner GARY NICHOLSON (James Gordon), are tough cops on a mission to clean up the streets of L.A. While on a routine call to remove a prostitute from a posh hotel they run into GRECKO (Paul Logan), a supernatural killer from another world. Nicholson is killed and Blaze sets out on a quest for justice and revenge that will take him to places that no mortal has ever gone before. In order for Blaze to defeat Grecko he must learn the spiritual ways of the martial arts from an oriental shaman YANG (My Tran).

BLAZING FORCE is an explosive action packed, thrill ride of a film. From the beginning to the end, it’s an all-out, take no prisoners battle between good and evil, where only one man will walk away. BLAZING FORCE. incorporates action and martial arts experts, high energy chase scenes, stunts, computer generated special effects and a pulse pounding soundtrack. So, sit back, fasten your seat belts and enjoy the ride of your life.

And speaking of people who should have a black leather boot deviate their septum, we’ve got some major low-budget chopsocky this week in the form of "Blazing Force," starring the next Jackie Chan wannabe, Tyrone Wade, as a cop seeking vengeance against a super ninja from another dimension, a big ole bodybuilder goonie in cool leather who wastes innocent homeless girls and then vanishes into the ether. The only way to defeat him is…. to learn Kung Fu from Mr. Yang and squat in a giant pagoda and then zap yourself into other dimensions to gather a broken amulet that’s the source of all life so you can fight the evil Grecko in a Kung Fu City finale that’s ….un…I forgot, actually.

Anyhow, most revenge movies are about one of two things—they killed the guy’s wife, or they killed the guys partner. So this one is about BOTH. The Kung-Fu Goonie kills a hooker in downtown El Lay, setting off a ten-minute chase that ends with Tyrone’s black partner getting electrocuted with supernatural zap-juice. But that causes FLASHBACKS to when Tyrone’s WIFE was killed by vicious bow-and-arrow wielding
drunken rednecks while they were still on their honeymoon. Obviously, it’s time for a little Buddha work here—just enough to get him ready to kick some serious hiney.

This movie is outstanding, except in two or three places where they stop fighting and let the actors actually speak. Other than that, the plot runs like this: Thwak, Pow, Kerthunk, Nunchuck Nunchuck, Thud.

In other words, my kinda flick.
